Known as the 'knowledge behind the numbers', Financial Analysts and Controllers are considered to be trusted business advisors, working within IBM’s business units and geographies, as well as in a myriad of specialized corporate functions.

Your Role and Responsibilities
Financial Controller manages and provides analyses of key financial indicators across the whole portfolio of contracts managed within the specific business sector. Performs analyses to provide recommendation and advisory to business and CFO. Collaborates with IBM’s Business Partners and other Finance function departments across various IBM offices.

Key responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) the following:
- builds professional relationships with Business Partners, provides advices and guidance throughout finance end-to-end (E2E) process (starting before contract signature, until contract end) on how to achieve best results in line with internal policies. Leads discussions and organize meetings with business, accounting and other departments in order to ensure that objectives of all parties are met
- monitors progress and measures financial results and process efficiencies
provides advice and recommendations to CFO and Partners in order to achieve targets in terms of signings, revenue and contract’s gross profit

Controller is involved in the whole life cycle of a service contract including:
- pre-review drafts of contracts, advise business team on financial aspects of the contracts
- final review of signed contracts in light of IBM internal guidances
- review of the contracts based on accounting guidelines (advise with factsheets, processes), drive the opened items between accounting and business
- financial analysis of revenue/cost of contracts – building view on results, analyzing actuals against initial financial views, building roadmaps, proposing corrective actions for improvements when necessary
- gross Profit analysis and its presentation
- monitoring and analysis of balance sheet, and work with local Finance team and Partners to ensure revenue and cost recognition policies are met
reporting of financial results during closing periods


Specification of salary conditions

Salary starting from EUR 1.400 / month, depending on relevant experience, skills and language proficiency
