As the Kotka CAM Plant Project progresses, we are seeking an experienced HSE Manager for the future joint venture company to take on a key role in both the project and the plant.
Generally required knowledge:
_Finnish Minerals Group and Beijing Easpring Material Technology are proceeding in establishing a joint venture company for the Kotka CAM plant. Beijing Easpring will own 70 percent of the company, while Finnish Minerals Group will own 30 percent. Beijing Easpring, established in 2001, is one of the world's leading developers, manufacturers, and suppliers of cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries. Finnish Minerals Group is a state-owned special-purpose company building a responsible mining and battery value chain in Finland._
_The initial investment for the Kotka CAM plant is estimated to be approximately 774 million euros, and the production is expected to meet the needs of more than 750,000 fully electric vehicles annually. The plant’s production capacity may be expanded in the future. Once operational, the plant will employ approximately 360 people._
In this role, you will be responsible for the comprehensive HSE strategy of the plant project during the project phase and for the operational plant once it is launched. As the project progresses, you will create and lead an HSE team, guiding and developing them with expertise. In this position, you will implement the company's existing HSE strategy for the Kotka plant and create local operating models for both the project phase and the operational plant. You will identify environmental and safety risks related to operations and ensure the management of these risks. You will ensure that your organization and external stakeholders, such as contractors, adhere to HSE guidelines. Additionally, you will develop a long-term local HSE strategy, enhance your organization's expertise in HSE matters, and manage collaboration with authorities in your area.
We expect you to have:
* Suitable educational background
* Experience of similar responsibility. Experience in international industrial projects is a benefit
* Knowledge of local HSE requirements
* Fluent communication skills in Finnish and English
You will be working in a multinational collaboration with various stakeholders. Success in the role requires strong communication and leadership skills. We also expect flexibility based on the project's needs.
