Higher Success are working with a Fortune 500 company to find someone to be a key HR generalist supporting part of this large multinational organisation in Slovakia and Czech Republic.

The Basics

Hybrid role working 1 day a week moving to several days a week in the office in Bratislava
Generalist role with a strong sway towards employee relations and labour law
Supporting multiple lines of business in Slovakia and Czech Republic


The Role

First point of contact for employee relations, advice on policies and processes for anything HR related
Centres of excellence in place to divert managers to when needed e.g. employee relations support from ER team or lawyers for complex cases, recruitment teams and L&D centres of excellence, comps and bens and many more
HR Business partners will work with you who set the strategy for their business line/ brand across all locations in Europe. You will work to inform their strategy and make sure that what is implemented will work in your region. You are a regional expert whose knowledge will inform bigger strategic decisions
Attend meetings when needed with line managers to assist
Assisting with onboarding and off boarding
Assist managers with talent reviews and other HR processes
65% of the role is HR advising, 15% labour law/ employee relations, 15% Project based work


The Requirements

You must be living already in Slovakia - relocation costs to Bratislava will be considered
Bachelors Degree in a relevant degree, HR, Business and HR or Legal
At least 3 years experience in HR ideally in a large organisation
You must be Fluent in English and Slovak. You might also be fluent in Czech which would be an advantage but not a necessity
Project experience
Strong communication skills, happy to do face to face contact on video calls with stakeholders (not much travel needed for the role, processes managed remotely)


The Selling Points

15% of your time will be spent on global, regional, national or brand aligned HR projects working with the wider HR community. You will be able to chose projects of interest whether that is Diversity or L&D or many other key projects.
The position comes with the opportunity to progress to managing team members within 18 months to 2 years
Potential relocation package if moving across Slovakia
Base pay for this position starts from EUR 2480 gross per month and salary depends on the skills and requirements, there will be further pay components such as a sign on bonus and the eligibility to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme

To be considered Higher Success may ask you to complete some video questions/ a phone call with a consultant and might ask for additional information about your skills in a short survey. The interview process with our client is a phone interview followed by a final interview with several interviewers one after the other. This process is likely to take a few weeks but this is a high priority role as someone is moving to a new position in the team leaving this role empty.

The recruitment process will involve a pre-sceen from Higher Success which will most likely be a phone call but could be a video interview and a survey online for a remote process as needed.
The client will then do a two stage interview process which we will discuss in more detail when we speak.

Employee relations and labour law knowledge in Slovakia is a must. It would be a strong advantage to also have Czech knowledge but not essential.
