We are looking for an advanced developer in Python who is interested in data engineering. to join the Zurich International Benefits Solutions team (ZIBS). In this role, you will:
• Solve high impact business problems in support of ZIBS, which manages a global employee benefit platform and supports corporate life insurance business in multiple markets.
• Be part of an entrepreneurially minded global team, which is daring to challenge the status quo,
• Further develop your hard skills by working with internal and external analytics experts.
Your main responsibilities will involve:
• Working with a team on high impact data projects using Python to build data pipelines and, at times, applications that use the data.
• Collecting, analyzing, integrating, and pipelining complex data sets from multiple countries.
• Analyzing business problems independently and assess best data model and technology approach of how to solve them.

Generally required knowledge:
Your key skills and experience:
• Python (or R will be considered) and SQL – Advanced
• Data Extraction, Transform, and Load (ETL) and Data Pipeline – Some exposure
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, including Data Factory and Databricks, is a plus
Other important characteristics:
• Can-do attitude, with a clear focus on quality end product
• Passion to tackle real business problems and work with data in a multi-national setting.
• Excellent written and spoken English, other European languages are a plus
• Excellent communication skills
• Good team player
• Prior work experience in insurance or finance is a plus
