Job information
You will shine as a Web Technology Front-End QA Engineer and be given the opportunity of a lifetime to bring your experience to a software development team working on a brand-new incubation product. You will be working in an agile environment as a member in a Scrum team and report to the QA Team Lead.
Your first mission:
Together with the other team members: create the infrastructure and the corresponding processes and protocols for testing the front-end technology of Foxit’s next modern, cloud-native progressive web application (PWA).
Your responsibilities:
- As a member of the SCRUM team: you make sure that the product performs as specified. If the specifications are ambiguous or bad, then you work together with the stakeholders (mostly the UX designers) to get the right specifications.
- You represent the Product Owner on the shop floor and provide qualityfrom the start using the Fail-Fast principle.
- You document your work where appropriate and take care of the reporting and the stats.
- You contribute your experience in the Refinement.
- You make Continuous Improvement happen by actively and constructively participating in the Retrospectives.
You can bring this to the team:
- 3 to 6 years of track-proven, hands-on experience as a QA engineer on complex web applications, ideally featuring collaboration and synchronization,
- Hands-on experience with Web Application Test Automation, preferably in an Azure DevOps (CI/CD) environment and practical experience with test tools like e.g. Selenium is a must,
Practical knowledge of Docker & Kubernetes and experience with SCRUM and agile product development methods,
- A scientific, analytical mindset would be ideal: not just assuming or believing, but only trusting concrete, repeatable evidence,
- You are a flexible team player with a high willingness to share your expertise and to learn continuously, you love to interact with people, not afraid of asking the right questions, and never giving up,
- Enthusiasm for software development and automation technology and fluent communication skills at all levels, in English, both written and verbally.
