We are looking for English speaking Senior Statutory Accounting and External Reporting Lead to join our Statutory Team in Bratislava Accounting Center..

Your role and responsibilities
Statutory accounting centre in Bratislava provides accounting and reporting activities for legal entities within IBM group in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Your responsibilities
- Leading, coordinating and supporting team of professionals responsible for given countries/region in preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or local country accounting principles
- Trusted business advisor to CFO, Tax, Treasury and other internal functions within the area of Accounting and Reporting.
- Responsible for compliance with regulatory and external reporting requirements
- Ensuring statutory filing deadlines for individual IBM legal entities are met
- Understanding the differences between accounting standards of IBM consolidated US GAAP and Local reporting GAAP
- Leading statutory audits conducted by Company’s general auditor
- Communication with various counterparts – internal teams covering different areas of business (accounting, tax, etc) and external auditing companies

Our requirements

- 7+ years of complex accounting, statutory reporting or audit experience
- Accounting qualification such as ACCA or CPA is an advantage
- Expert in statutory accounting and reporting process covering the preparation of annual financial statements, external audit and local reporting to authorities
- Knowledge of IFRS required, US GAAP/local GAAP experience is an advantage
- Experience with SAP is valuable
- Fluent English, other language is an advantage
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Good team player with ability to work under pressure and accepting new challenges
- Analytical and logical thinking with ability to make decisions
