SRE is a client-oriented role that will be 30% focusing on the production operational tasks & 70% focusing on SRE tasks that means strengthening the weakness of the client's infrastructure.
SRE will work with subject matter expect / project office/ client to increase efficiency by reducing TOIL (manual repetitive tasks).

SRE will also be doing a postmortem of incidents and will be working under specifically given service level indicators as well as error budget, highly involving himself/herself into bringing Ansible-based automation and identification of the workload which can be potentially moved to the cloud.

An SRE will also be Managing & maintaining clients as per strategic guidelines, SRE will have certain targets to achieve in terms of discovering new service opportunities, bringing measurable efficiency to reduce delivery cost, and bring new business. This technical role is focused on deploying, maintaining, and automating wide ranges of operational tasks.

What you’ll do:
Work in an Agile, collaborative environment;
Engage with various stakeholders to understand technical complexity & help them resolve their issues or queries;
Maintain the reliability, stability, and efficiency of the platform, including being an active participant in incident response and incident management, which may include being on-call;
Automate and optimize processes using tools like Ansible, Github, and Jira;
SREs are also responsible for the performance, availability, and scalability of the infrastructure;
Install, configure, update, and administer VMWare ESX 4.x/5.x/6.x virtualized servers;
Configure and manage ESX, VSPhere, VCenter, and VMotion for customer systems;
Configure, manage, and optimize High Availability options, Distributed Resources Scheduler, Update Manager, and shared storage and datastores, RDM management;
Operate and manage backup/restore tools eg. VEEAM, TSM4VE;
Perform all virtual storage management and maintenance tasks;
Review and deploy service packs, hot fixes, system updates, and vendor-supplied patches, driver and firmware updates;
Monitoring system capacity utilization, evaluating trends and planning future needs;
Performs root cause analysis on all VMware products including ESX hosts, Virtual Centers, and Virtual Machines;
Administer, maintain and troubleshoot Storage Area Networks (SAN, vSAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) attached to VMware.
