Job information

We have a great opportunity for you to work for a new automotive company in Nitra. Currently we are looking for a skilled Paint Launch Leader.

Main Responsibilities:
- Accountability for the delivery of launch build phases, both in UK and in Slovakia, in order to deliver a flawless product launch via the Launch Quality Operating System
- Manage exceptions and containments during build phases
- Plan and manage the workload of your team in line with the departmental scorecard and actively drive the team to achieve and exceed targets
- Develop and take accountability for Budget and Timing plans for Launch
- Manage critical project gateway reviews
- Organise and facilitate Launch Reviews during build phases
- Co-ordinate the recruitment, training and supervision of Product Coaches, Key Workers, Lead Coaches and Launch Leaders in Paintshop
- Champion the Paintshop requirements for the Training Centre during its development
- Project manage the Skills School facility, specifying and sourcing equipment, layout design, co-ordinating with contractors and commissioning the equipment ready for the training of new recruits
- Lead and develop a strong mentality in your team for all aspects of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale and Environment. Lead Safety First and Customer Focus mind set within the team
- Drive activities with PD (Product Design), AME (Advanced Manufacturing Engineering) and MP&L (Material Planning and Logistics) to ensure all future products and process requirements are in line with World Class Factory targets

Requirements:
- Experience of Quality Product Audits and of identifying Paint defects in production
- Understanding of paint defects and repair processes
- Project Management experience
- Experience of implementing Lean Manufacturing techniques and working practices, continually striving for continuous improvement
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels via reports, presentations and workgroup briefings
- Drive and teamwork skills to effectively solve issues in real time
- Experience of people management skills
- Self-motivated with a “can-do” attitude, and ability to work unsupervised, often to tight deadlines
- Understanding of other automotive production processes from Pressed panels to Complete vehicle
- Strong level of reading, written and spoken English
- Knowledge of procedures regarding safety and ergonomics
- Ability to work off site at alternative locations, including overseas for periods of 4-12 weeks during launch phases
