As a Data Scientist, you will have opportunity to work with one of the richest data sets around, and see your insights turned into execution. You will have the opportunity of joining a team working on some challenging and fascinating problems in a data rich environment.

The perfect candidate will have a background in a quantitative or technical field, will have experience working with large data sets, and will have some experience in data-driven decision making.
Responsibilities:
• Data Analytics: 50%, Data transformation and visualization: 30%, Data Architecture: 20%
• Gather, structure and operate complex data inputs from multiple Big Data sources, both internally and externally
• Perform predictive analytics and financial modeling to make coverage investment decisions
• Perform ad hoc data mining and statistical analyses on coverage related complex business problems
• Develop and run data queries from various (reporting) tools to gain insight on coverage and distribution risks
• Research and work with technical teams to implement new and emerging technologies that will facilitate better data integrity, reliability, and enrichment for quantitative solutions
• Own & Manage big data and analytics platform for team (IT teams will build them)
• Work with Business & Engineering resources to define analytics and platform requirements and translate to technical requirements

• Passionate about data science and analytics and the value that can be created through information exploitation
• Technically brilliant, using some or all of Hadoop, Python, R, SAS
• Ability to work simultaneously across a number of analytical projects, manageing your own time to deliver results
• A good knowledge of visualisation methods / tools
• Experience with machine learning and other pattern recognition techniques is a plus
