Job information
- define the architecture, concepts and design elements for Microsoft BI platform and implementation in cooperation with the MSSQL/BI support and operations team
- In this role a balance must be kept between business objectives, service level agreements, financial targets, sustainable architecture and IT standards
- The close and committed cooperation with other teams (such as Application Teams, Windows Architecture and Engineering, Storage, Information Security etc.) is vital and also mandatory for success.
- responsible for defining performance, integrity and security of the Microsoft BI platform.
- Additional role requirements include planning, complex problem analysis, troubleshooting and professional consultancy delivery to clients.
- Engage in research in all topics pertinent to the Microsoft BI stack and also wider IT developments
- Creates concepts and makes design decisions for new solutions in Microsoft BI scope
- Defines and drives automation and self-service initiatives
- Ensures quality documentation is in place
- The team is mainly focused on Information Integration and exploitation, Enterprise content management platforms, Enterprise Search platforms and Microsoft products such as MSSQL , MSBI, and SharePoint.
SKILLS:
- knowledge of the Microsoft BI (SSAS, SSRS, SSIS, SharePoint BI features, BI Clients) technology stack from an end to end perspective
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft BI concepts, architecture, engineering, implementation, usage and operations
- Good understanding of alternative database platforms (Oracle, DB2 or similar)
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows platform
- Good understanding of Microsoft Cloud offerings (Azure, Power BI etc.)
- Good understanding of MSSQL stack from end to end including DB design, MSSQL concepts, architecture and engineering.
- Methodical and systematic approach towards gathering requirements, designing solutions, documentation and communication
- Sound understanding and experience in project management of infrastructure projects
- English
- Ability to coach and support junior members of team
