Job information

Responsibilities:

  • providing 2nd level technical IT support for centralized services according to a responsibility matrix
  • deploying software releases to production and non-production environments (manual and automated)
  • documenting systems and troubleshooting information
  • providing training to other departments and team colleagues
  • analysing and solving of complex incidents, issues and problems
  • fulfilling service requests (e.g. data analysis, configuration, provisioning)
  • providing on-call duty for a broad range of IT services as part of a team schedule
  • constantly improving Global Blue core platform components in terms of availability, capacity and efficient resource utilization and performance
  • defining and requesting monitoring options (SCOM) and define and leverage operational management tools (SPLUNK)
  • participate and contribute to ITIL processes, especially but not limited to: Incident, Change and Problem Management
  • Reporting and collaboration
  • The holder of the position reports directly to the Senior Manager Service Delivery Revenue Applications.

Requirements:

  • Relevant IT education concluded (desired: bachelor level or equivalent practical experience)
  • Broad-based general IT competence in a Windows environment
  • Sound SQL knowledge
  • Excellent analyzing and troubleshooting skills
  • Minimum 5 years of practical experience in supporting centralized IT services (2nd level)
  • Excellent communication skills, especially when working with different target groups within an international environment.
  • Good English language skills (oral & written, B2).
  • Specific skills and knowledge
  • ITIL foundation certification
  • Basic skills in web server administration, understanding of web services and service oriented architecture
  • Advanced in SQL databases and query language (MS SQL and/or ORACLE)
  • Intermediate skills with network operations and TCP/IP networking
  • Scripting and/or basic programming skills (e.g. MS PowerShell)
  • Basic experience with LINUX systems
