Job information

We have an exciting opportunity to work for a new automotive Company in the Nitra region. We are hiring for the position of Plant Launch manager.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage and develop the Plant Launch Manufacturing Trim and Final Launch team
• Develop and execute the trim and final people plan in conjunction with key stakeholders and suppliers to support ‘Best in Class’ people readiness
• Lead and manage the team through all the build phases, ensuring the product design & process is feasible, facility design is world class and meets Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Ergonomic standards
• Incorporate and develop IPS for Trim and Final to ensure Lean Systems & thinking are fundamental
• Collate and present full programme (LQOS) status reports for programme milestones and Senior Management reviews
• Lead and manage the problem landscape, escalate as required and personally assist in problem resolution
• Successful coordination of training delivered to all T&F production, repair & maintenance associates
• Successful completion of Work Element Sheets, Quality Process Sheets and Quality MAPS for all T&F areas
• Successful delivery of all pre-J#1 vehicles, on time, to the appropriate quality levels and in full utilising the Plant Launch resource and available time as required
• Successful transfer of knowledge to the in-market production team on product, processes and facilities
• Successful implementation of lessons learnt across all Trim & Final assembly areas
• Leadership of Problem Solving activities by applying appropriate techniques and tools
• Driving all work station layouts within Trim & Final adhere to ‘Golden Rule’ (Lean) principles

Information for the applicant:

• Experience of the vehicle launch process and Plant Launch deliverables in each build phase
• Experience of working within a Plant Launch team
• Knowledge of other vehicle assembly areas, in particular Body in W Understanding of Quality Operating Procedures (MQOS) and their use hite
• Proven ability to influence and/or manage people
• Detailed working knowledge of Trim & Final areas and vehicle manufacturing operations (assembly launch experience from an OEM)
• The ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision to deliver key objectives
• Knowledge of PFMEA / Design for Assembly principles
• Understanding of off track build processes and post build activity
• Good understanding of safety and ergonomic risk assessment procedures
