Job information

Responsibilities:

• Month end closing in the ERP system
• Loading of financial data into the reporting software for submission to HQ in the UK
• Preparing monthly reporting, including commentary and variance analysis, to Components divisional Finance in the UK
• Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, preparation of reconciliations file
• Sending of financial controls checklist to HQ Finance
• Accounting for transactions in the Slovak warehouse, which is the central in Eastern Europe
• Enforcing a high standard of internal control
• Liaison with internal auditors and with external advisers
• Identify and drive improvements in accounting systems and processes
• Control costs, identify opportunities for cost reduction
• Responsibility for customer credit control, working capital management, tax compliance and treasury management
• Provide General Manager with accurate and relevant financial information
• Deal with ad hoc requests for financial information from colleagues in the UK

Requirements:

• Fluent English (written and spoken)
• At least 5 years’ experience as Lead Accountant (preferably in manufacturig business)
• Knowledge of IFRS is a must
• An effective, dependable team member who can work unsupervised in a challenging high volume environment
• Ability to multi-task, work on multiple projects
• Proven ability to manage and motivate the team 
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office
• Previous experience and detailed knowledge of ERP systems
• Previous experience with COGNOS is welcome
