Teradata is a global leader in data warehouse field. The Global Delivery Centre in Prague is providing its consultants to the largest and most sophisticated data warehouse (DWH) projects across EU region as for example in Austria, Italy, Sweden, UK, France, Czech Rep, etc.

We are looking for DWH Analysts performing various BI tasks like analyses, database and architecture design, gathering business requirements, creating testing and implementation scenarios, creating and delivering BI reports and services, etc.

Responsibilities and Duties of DWH Analyst

• Performing data warehouse BI tasks for large projects (database design, business analyses, defining business requirements)
• Building data warehouse (DWH) competency
• Deliver business and application specific consulting services included in the integrated Teradata solutions
• Providing mapping and design of customer’s business needs to the Teradata database
• Supporting the pre-sale process as well as client communication
• Understand Business Data Model and logical mappings (source mappings, LDM mappings)
• Create detailed, technical Source Target mappings
• Unit testing
• Package jobs, prepare for deployment

Information for the applicant:

Prague is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic. Situated in the north-west of the country the city is home to about 1.3 million people and it’s the political, cultural, and economic centre of central Europe. Its rich history, beautiful old town makes it a popular tourist destination.

Prague's economy accounts for 25% of the Czech Republic's GDP. The city is the site of the European headquarters of many international companies. The average salary in Czech Republic is around 12.000 Euro gross, the average in Prague approx. 14.000 Euro gross. The average salary in IT on positions similar to abovementioned counts from 10.000 Euro gross to 20.000 Euro gross per year.

Life in Prague is not as expensive as in France. You will pay for a room in flatshare around 250-300 Euro, for a 1+1 flat around 500 Euro.

From your gross salary (before tax) you are required to pay contribution to the social and health system and additional taxes. The percentage amount of all these deductions (tax + insurance) is around 34%.

Qualifications

Basic requirements

• 2-3 years of experience working as an ETL Analyst on DWH projects
• Experience with creation/modification of Mapping or Technical ETL specifications (Source Target Mapping)
• Excellent SQL knowhow
• Experience with database systems such as Teradata, Oracle or MSSQL in similar position (ETL development, stored procedures development, DDL scripts, DML scripts)
• Understanding of banking business
• Proven record of participation on big DWH projects
• Advanced English
• Flexibility in working from Prague (Czech Rep.) with business trips abroad if required by the customer
• EU Citizenship


Desired requirements

• Experience with ETL tools (egDatastage, ODI, Informatica)
• Experience in banking industry
• Familiar with CASE modeling
• Experience with Teradata Tools and Utilities (FastLoad, MultiLoad, BTEQ, FastExport)
• Experience in designing User Acceptance Tests
• Knowledge of any other European language (e.g. Italian, French or German)
