Job information

- Perform regular General ledger activities
- Responsibility for complete double
-entry bookkeeping (IFRS)
- Overall responsibility over consolidation activities for assigned region
- Complete monthly balance sheet accounts reconciliation
- Maintenance of accounting GL master data
- Reporting to entities and to HQ
- Supervision and coordination of junior team members
- Manage complex accounting work (monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities)
- Monitoring of activities according to KPI´s
- Perform reconciliation of general ledger accounts in a timely manner
- Ensuring correctness of the records on the general ledger level
- Closely maintains and monitors the fixed assets system

Generally required knowledge:

- University degree in the field of finance or economics
- ACCA/CIMA qualifications will be an advantage
- At least 3 years of experience in a role of Chief Accountant including team lead of min. 5 people
- Strong knowledge of International accounting standards
- Practical knowledge and use of IT software MS Office, SAP will be a an advantage
- Strong analytical and critical reasoning skills
- Ability to provide clear leadership
- Ability to work across various functional areas and to interact with individuals across all levels throughout the organization
- Native Slovak and Fluent German or English skills are required
