Teradata is a global leader in data warehouse field. The Global Consulting Centre in Prague is providing its consultants to the largest and most sophisticated data warehouse (DWH) projects across EMEA region as for example in Austria, Italy, Sweden, Russia, UK, France, Czech Rep, etc.

We are looking for consultants performing various BI tasks like analyses, database and architecture design, gathering business requirements, creating testing and implementation scenarios, creating and delivering BI reports and services, etc.
The Managed Services team is looking for database administrators performing database and system administration, providing SQL optimization, performance tuning of systems and monitoring of daily ETL jobs.

Responsibilities and Duties of DBA consultant
• Perform the DBA related tasks in key areas of System Administration, Database Administration, Backup, Archive & Restore Management, Performance Management & Reporting for customers;
• Maintaining the database and IT infrastructure of our customers;
• Support and monitoring of ETL jobs;
• Error tracking and handling;

Qualifications

Necessary Requirements:
• Strong experience with database and OS administration (preferably on Linux/UNIX);
• SQL knowledge and shell scripting;
• Willingness to relocate to and work from Prague (Czech Republic);
• Willingness to work in a shift model (e.g. Overtimes, Stand by, Weekends…);
• Advanced English;
• EU Citizenship.
Advantages:
• Understanding of/interest in DWH architecture andETL concepts;
• Experience with database systems such as Teradata, Oracle, DB2 or MSSQL in similar position (DBA);
• Understanding of data archive/restore processes and policies;
• Knowledge of any other European language, especially German or French;
• Good at error handling and issue tracking.
