PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To transition in and carry out management accounting and reporting activities, specifically: management accounting period end close, calculation of business related KPIs, management reporting, liaison with OpCo Analysts and provide assistance to Controllers. These processes should be completed in accordance with OpCo guidelines, and company policies and objectives, in order to achieve the agreed performance objectives (PPIs) and service levels (SLAs), while contributing to on
-going continuous improvement, process standardisation and high levels of customer satisfaction
Prepare and/or review management reports in the area of Supply Chain/Commerce/Overheads
Support business analysis process by providing necessary data input in the area of Supply Chain/Commerce/Overheads
Provide input required for any closing adjustments
Ensure completeness of monthly management accounting close (closing cost centre accounting, WIP and variance calculation, inventory valuation, COPA reallocations, internal orders)
Calculate and/or review calculation of business related KPIs in the area of Supply Chain/Commerce/Overheads
Perform product costing calculations
Close investment orders
Provide own process expertise to MA&R Administrator
Develop and maintain successful working relationships with suppliers, employees, local OpCos and other key stakeholders
Consistently adhere to OpCo, local, Global and HGSS guidelines, policies and regulations for areas including Tax, Credit policy, Record to Report etc
Ensure compliance with OpCo regulatory and tax requirements by following guidance provided by the OpCo
Support internal/external audits by preparing information as and when requested
Execute assigned process controls and proactively report any instances of non
-compliance
Respond to queries from OpCo via e
-mail/telephone in alignment with service management processes
Identify issues and use the agreed escalation route in a timely manner if an issue should arise
Provide proactive, quality service in alignment with service management standards and SLAs
Participate as required in transition activities which may include initial work shadowing in the assigned OpCo
Perform activities consistent with standard processes
Contribute to continuous improvement by proposing ideas, participation in projects and applying any agreed changes to processes
Generally required knowledge:
* Bachelor or University degree; Masters level preferably in Business Economics or Accountancy
* ICAEW / CA or similar qualification as prevalent in country of the OpCo
* Minimal 3 years of experience in Finance with experience in controlling/reporting area
* Knowledge of financial and operational processes (end to end thinking)
* Good interpersonal skills, ability to effectively manage the relationship with OpCo Finance Teams and clients
* Good understanding of ERP Accounting Systems (SAP, Oracle) is desirable
* Working knowledge of Ms. Office packages
* Fluent English (written and spoken), Moderate local OpCo language (written and spoken)
