Detailed Description

Monitors and controls multi-technology computing platforms or equipment. Applies second level analysis, using industry accepted techniques and procedures, to identify, correlate and correct issues. Ensures a stable operating environment and attains maximum utilization of system facilities. Operates and monitors console systems and peripheral equipment. Troubleshoots and restores routine technical service and peripheral equipment. Escalates complex problems to appropriate support teams. Performs additional job duties as required. Provides support for moderate tasks. Requires minimal supervision. Work with others in a team environment while enhancing a positive atmosphere.

Candidate Requirements 

• Strong knowledge about the Incident Management in IT organizations
• Required to have a mainframe and/or distributed operations background
• Good overall knowledge about information technology, Unix, Windows, Networks and Telecoms
• Basic knowledge about ITIL process framework (Incident, Change and Problem Management)
• Working in shift teams
